What are the Needs of People Living in Remote Areas About the Essential Components of a Cardiac Rehabilitation Program?

Introduction: Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is an effective intervention to support patients in achieving their health objectives and decreasing risk of suffering from another myocardial infarction (MI). However, several remote areas, no cardiac program (CRP) exists having experienced MI. Before the creation CRP adapted living these it essential describe healthcare professionals' needs regarding care. Objective: This study describes professionals for components a CR following percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty. Methods: A qualitative formative research was conducted involving 10 men, 6 women, 4 family physicians. Data were collected through in-depth individual interviews one focus group. Results: Results show that who have suffered MI multiple unmet needs. gap may be due variability follow-ups by professionals. In absence program, must adapt quickly new condition.
